Kaneko Wiki
Gals Panic Poster

The first game in the series, simply titled Gals Panic, is a puzzle developed by Kaneko in 1990. It's gameplay is heavily inspired from the 1983 Taito game, Qix. It's seemed to be the spiritual successor of their sequel Super Qix, only to have with girls.

Gameplay[]

It noted that there's improvements between Gals Panic and Qix. In this game, you can cover the whole silhouette when you're planned your sqaure. It doesn't leave you a squared line unlike in Qix, making it much easier to destroy enemies.

Legacy[]

Gals Panic became one of Kaneko's main franchises and their longest too. It recieved sequels from 1993 to 2002.

Trivia[]

  • A supposed and rumored Sega CD version was thought about but never confirmed. According to Ellen Foug, the gameplay was limited and was too touchy to be ported on any system.
